    Key Responsibilities: 

     

    Targeted Student Support -

    1. Provide small group and 1:1 support for students with Special Educational Needs, or those identified as requiring additional support.
    2. Deliver interventions in literacy, numeracy, language acquisition, and social skills, adapted to individual pupil profiles.
    3. Contribute to the planning and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), behaviour plans, and personalised learning goals.

    Collaboration and Co-Teaching -

    1. Work alongside classroom teachers to co-plan, co-deliver, and co-assess personalised lessons and activities.
    2. Offer practical strategies for adapting curriculum content, learning activities, and assessments to meet individual needs.
    3. Participate in team-teaching and guided group instruction to support inclusive classroom environments.

    Data and Progress Monitoring -

    • Maintain accurate records of student targets, progress, and outcomes using school systems.
    • Use formative and summative assessment data to evaluate impact and inform next steps in provision.
    • Contribute to pupil progress meetings and annual reviews, offering insights and recommendations based on ongoing observations and assessments.

    Parent and Professional Partnerships

    1. Communicate regularly with parents/carers regarding student progress and strategies for support at home.
    2. Attend parent meetings, reviews, and workshops to strengthen the school-home partnership.
    3. Collaborate with external therapists and specialists to implement support recommendations and follow up on student needs.

    Professional Development and Inclusive Practice -

    1. Engage in, and contribute to, CPD on topics such as SEND, adaptive teaching, and inclusive pedagogy.
    2. Support the school's inclusive ethos and play an active role in raising awareness and understanding of neurodiversity and learning differences.
